What to Expect Staying With US

,Jimbaran:

Jimbaran is much less touristy than the more commercial well-known areas of Kuta, Legian, Seminyak, and Ubud. You’ll be disappointed if you want wall to wall shops and tourists. The area is full of local flavor. From the open fish and produce markets in the early morning to its fabulous seaside sunset dinners. It’s claim to fame, is Jimbaran Bay, lined with seafood restaurants on the sand. Offering fresh fish caught that day for your dining pleasure.

Jimbaran is the gateway to the Bukit (the ball at the south end of Bali on the map meaning “The Hill”). Here you have the 4th best surf beaches in the world. The famous Uluwatu Temple, known for the best sunset traditional Bali dances. A good place to use as a hub as it is serviced by the main arteries to get around the island. While some prefer Ubud as it is further north, but it has no beaches and is not as sunny.

Our little place here is very private only having 3 rooms and a pool. Hidden in a garden atmosphere down an alley far enough off the main road to avoid the noise, but not so far as to be inconvenient. It is about a 20-minute walk to Jimbaran Beach and there are plenty of food and spa choices along the way. Jimbaran is a mere 15 minutes to the airport, great for your arrival or departure.

Seraya:

Seraya is an entirely different experience. Quiet, serene, somewhat isolated in what is unmistakably old world Bali. 180° ocean and island views from every room with amazing sea breezes. 400 meters from a black sand and stone beach. Relax by our infinity pool or have a round of tennis or pickleball. Explore a few little carving shops on the road where young boys are taught the craft. A yoga retreat is close to the water and the sounds of the sea are in the air.

However, for sightseeing and exploration, you can drive along a scenic coastline to Amed where you can dive a shipwreck. Go to Mt Agung and hike, bicycle or raft the 3000-meter mountain. Go into Candidasa for a little shopping or food options. Or stay on-site. Our own full-time restaurant with sea views and breezes manned by Lydia, our co-owner and professional chef with amazing skills to titillate all you foodies. And our own in-house spa.
